Our Everett Oral Surgery Office
This page is about one building: 3229 Hoyt Ave, Suite 2, in Everett. If you have an appointment here, or you are deciding whether to book one, this covers what the visit involves and how to find us.
OM3 Oral Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery has five surgeons working across four Snohomish County offices, among them Dr. Michael Gross, DMD, MD, a board-certified surgeon who holds a medical degree alongside his dental degree. The Everett office has its own direct line, 425-258-2646, answered by our team rather than a central call center.
You do not need a referral. Call us and book.
Most of our patients arrive because their own dentist sent them. Some just call. Both are fine.
What we handle at the Hoyt Avenue office
The Everett office runs the same scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery as our other three locations. Dental implants and extractions make up most of the schedule. Bone grafting, wisdom teeth, impacted canines, jaw joint problems and facial injuries fill the rest. This is a surgical office, so nobody here does your cleanings or fillings.
Washington rule WAC 246-817-420 covers how a group practice must describe its dentists. Each one counts as a general dentist or a specialist. All five OM3 surgeons are board-certified specialists in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Each finished a surgical residency after dental school, then passed board certification on top of it.
- Dental implant placement and the grafting that sometimes has to come first
- Surgical extractions, including teeth broken at the gum line
- Wisdom teeth, including third molars sitting deep in bone
- Exposure and bonding of impacted canines for orthodontic patients
- Assessment of jaw pain, clicking and limited opening
- Biopsy of lesions your dentist has flagged
Our surgeons rotate between the four offices on a five week cycle, so the surgeon working here this week may be at another office next week. We tell you who you are booked with when you schedule. Where the rotation allows, we keep you with the same surgeon from consultation through to surgery.

Contact Us Today
The first step towards a beautiful, healthy smile is to schedule an appointment. Please contact our office by phone or complete the appointment request form below. Our scheduling coordinator will contact you to confirm your appointment. If you are an existing patient, this contact form should not be utilized for communicating private health information.
How long will you be here?
A consultation runs about 45 to 60 minutes. A surgical appointment runs longer, and how much longer depends on the procedure and the sedation. Wisdom teeth under intravenous sedation usually means a couple of hours in the building once you count recovery time. We tell you the expected length when we book, so you can plan the day around it.
Do not book anything tight afterward. Patients get this wrong all the time.
A follow up visit is usually short. Ten or fifteen minutes is normal. We check the site is healing and answer whatever has come up since.
If you are having sedation, someone has to drive you home. That is not a preference, it is a requirement, and we will reschedule if nobody is there.
Bring photo identification, your dental insurance card, your medical insurance card, and a written list of your current medications and doses. If your dentist referred you, bring their name and any imaging they gave you.
Blood thinners and bone medications change how we plan surgery. So do heart conditions, diabetes and sleep apnea.
None of these stop you having treatment. They change how we do it. That is why we ask.
If you are not sure what you take, bring the boxes. We would rather read the label than guess.
Completing your registration and health history online beforehand saves time at the front desk on a morning when you would rather not be filling in forms.
We use cone beam CT scanning, a three dimensional scan that shows where nerves, sinus floors and tooth roots actually sit. A standard flat X-ray cannot show that. Implant planning nearly always needs the three dimensional view, and complicated wisdom teeth often do.
Scanning happens during your consultation visit. You are not referred to an imaging center and asked to return.
Your records travel between our four offices. If Snohomish or Mill Creek has an earlier surgical opening than Everett, we can move you without repeating the imaging or the paperwork.
The Hoyt Avenue office serves patients from across the north of the county, not just the city itself. People book here from Everett, Mukilteo, Marysville and Lake Stevens.
If Everett is not the closest of our four offices to you, check the others before you book. Mill Creek sits on the Bothell Everett Highway and suits patients coming from the south. Smokey Point is further north, off Smokey Point Boulevard. Snohomish is east, on Bickford Avenue, and is the only office that opens on Saturdays.
Parking is a shared lot and it is free. The nearest cross street is 32nd Street, and you come in through the main doors.
One thing to know before you arrive. Suite 2 is on the first floor, sitting above the parking garage, and the route up from the garage is by stairs. If stairs are difficult for you, park in the alleyway instead and you reach us at street level with no steps at all.
Tell us when you book if you need the step-free route. This matters most on sedation days, because you will not be steady on stairs afterward.
We take referrals from general dentists and orthodontists across Snohomish County. Send the patient with your name attached and we report back after the consultation, then again after surgery.
Implant cases matter most here. You are restoring what we place, so the plan has to be agreed between us before anything goes in the bone. Call the Everett office directly on 425-258-2646 to discuss a case with a surgeon rather than routing it through the front desk.
We do not take over restorative care. The patient comes back to you.
Send imaging with the referral if you have it. It saves the patient a scan and saves you a phone call.
We also see urgent cases. If you have a patient in pain, ring the office and say so.
Do you see urgent and emergency cases?
Yes. Dental infections, facial injuries and teeth broken below the gum line do not wait for a routine slot. Call 425-258-2646 and tell whoever answers that it is urgent. We handle those differently from routine consultations and will find you the earliest opening across all four offices.
Swelling that is spreading, a fever alongside dental pain, or trouble swallowing needs same day attention. Say those words on the phone. Do not leave a message and wait for a callback.
If you have had a facial injury and there is any question about your airway, breathing or a head injury, go to an emergency room first. We can treat the facial fracture afterward. That order matters.
What makes this office worth the drive
425-258-2646 reaches the Everett office. You are talking to people who know which rooms are free this week.
Working with your own dentist
We are one half of your care, not all of it. Your general dentist keeps doing your checkups, cleanings and fillings while we handle the surgical part, and then you go straight back to them.
That split matters most on implant cases. We place the implant in the bone and your dentist makes the crown that sits on top of it. If the two of us are not working from the same plan, the crown can end up in the wrong position, so we agree the plan before anything is placed.
We write to your dentist after your consultation and again after surgery. If you do not currently have a dentist, tell us, because you will need one for the restorative work that follows.
Booking at the Everett office
Call 425-258-2646 and ask for a consultation. Say what your dentist told you, or describe the problem yourself if nobody sent you. Our coordinator will find a time and tell you which surgeon you are seeing.
The Everett office is accepting new patients.
Questions about visiting the Everett office
Can I park at the Hoyt Avenue office?
Yes, in a shared lot, and it is free. Use the main doors to come in. Suite 2 sits on the first floor above the parking garage, and the way up from the garage is a flight of stairs. If that is a problem, park in the alleyway and you get in at street level instead. Say so when you book and we will make sure you are expecting the right route.
Will I see the same surgeon at every appointment?
Usually, yes. Continuity matters in surgical care, and we schedule your treatment with the surgeon who consulted on it wherever the calendar allows. If circumstances mean a different surgeon steps in, they work from the same plan, the same imaging and the same notes.
Coming here when your dentist named a different surgeon
Yes. A referral is a recommendation, not an instruction, and where you have surgery is your decision. Bring any imaging your dentist has already taken so we do not repeat it unnecessarily. We will send our findings back to your dentist either way, because they still handle your ongoing care.
How far ahead should I book?
Routine consultations are usually available within a couple of weeks, though it varies by surgeon and by season. Late summer is busy, because families book wisdom teeth before the school year restarts. If the first date offered at Everett feels too far out, ask what is open at the other three offices before you accept it.
Is the Everett office the main OM3 location?
No. Our four offices run the same scope of surgery, the same imaging and the same sedation options. Mill Creek answers the main practice line, but no office is a satellite of another. Choose the one that is easiest for you to reach.
